Opry Mills Mall
OpryMills.us is NOT affiliated with Opry Mills or Simon Corp.
Constructed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000, Opry Mills was built on the site of the old Opryland USA theme park, just outside the home of the Grand Ole Opry. The Opry Mills shopping mall is owned and operated by the Mills Corporation and is adjacent to the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. Besides all the stores and retail outlets, Opry Mills is known for its entertainment options such as the NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway, IMAX movie theater, and the Regal Opry Mills.
Some of the major stores include Bed Bath and Beyond, Tower Records, Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, and Barnes & Noble. Besides these famous chains, Opry Mills houses some stores you will only find there, such as the Gibson Bluegrass Showcase, a guitar store with more than 30,000 square feet. Mills corporation owns other large malls including the Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise Florida, Gurnee Mills Mall outside of Chicago and Concord Mills.
The latest news on the Mills corporation is that they are having trouble and may be declaring bankruptcy. We do not know what will happen with the status of the malls at that point. Rumors we have heard may be similar to Six Flags selling off some properties. The Mills Corporation may have to take that course of action.
